The four year old child of one of the household servants spent the morning with us. Her name is Shree and she's adorable! In spite of the language barrier she and Nitara got on fabulously. I was not sure what Indian kids liked to play. It turns out they like to play the same kinds of things that other kids like to play at that age. I filled a bowl with water and they gave Nitara's pony toys a bath. I filled it four or five times with more water and had to move them outside to contain the mess. Shree was very shy at first but soon learned to ask for more water for the bath: "thani ma?" I sent her home with a handful of chocolates. I hope she comes back soon but she is due to start school in the next couple of days. Kids here start public school at age 4. I still can't get over how big my kids are compared to most of the local kids here. It seems that my husband's family is extrodinarly tall for south Indian people. Abi was the same size as a nine year old girl (she's 6.5) and Nitara (3.5) just towered over little Shree.
The second driving video has been uploaded here. Hold on tight! This is from an auto rickshaw.

That is so sweet! Just wonderful that play can allow for such instant connections!
