My name is Darshani. I am a caucasian American woman who has been married to a native of south India for 11 years. We have two daughters, Abirami (6) and Nitara (3). This will be my fourth trip. Abi has been once before, when she was 12-15 months old.
I would describe myself as an eclectic religious person. I embrace the good parts and leave behind what doesn't feel right in my heart. Currently our family attends the Unitarian Universalist Church most often, with trips to the Hindu temple on festival days.
You are wondering about my name? I was born with a different name but I chose to take a Hindu name a few years ago. It represents a new beginning for me.
